Meet Justine | Justine has been teaching pilates around Australia for over 15 years. After completing her associate degree in dance from Queensland University of Technology she completed her mat pilates qualifications and began teaching pilates. Over the years she has been lucky enough to learn from many leading instructors and absolutely loves passing on her knowledge of pilates and dancing to everyone. Justine specialises in hypermobility, pelvic floor strengthening and believes that Pilates with for everyone. Her clients range from 16 to 85 so everyone is welcome.
What is pilates? | The easiest way to describe it a combination of yoga and physiotherapy. You will learn about the weaknesses and strengths in your body and posture and how to correct them. Typical pilates exercises will strengthen and stretch your muscles at the same time. It should leave you feeling strong but also long and lean. Core strength is the first focus. Learning how to activate your core muscles correctly is quite difficult and being able to do that and breathe initially seems impossible. Having a teacher explain and teach this to you properly is vital.
